Risk Disclosure
Trading can lose more than you expect.
Read this before connecting MoonBot to any account. This disclosure does not describe every possible risk.
1. Futures and leverage
Futures trading is highly speculative and is not suitable for every person. Leverage magnifies both gains and losses. Volatility, gaps, thin liquidity, market limits, and rapid price movement can make it difficult or impossible to execute at an intended price. Stop orders and brackets do not guarantee a maximum loss.
2. Automated and model-assisted trading
Automation can repeat an error faster than a person can react. Software may generate an unsuitable signal, misunderstand context, fail to receive data, act on delayed data, time out, duplicate or reject a request, lose connectivity, or behave differently after an update. Model output may be wrong, inconsistent, unavailable, or slower than the market.
MoonBot revalidates price and uses expiring commands, but these controls cannot eliminate slippage, missed trades, platform defects, broker rejection, exchange events, computer failure, or operator error.
3. Your responsibility
You choose the account, instrument, quantity, mode, and optional controls. You are responsible for confirming every setting, monitoring open orders and positions, understanding your broker and evaluation-program rules, maintaining current market-data entitlements, and knowing how to cancel orders and flatten positions directly in NinjaTrader without MoonBot.
4. Hypothetical performance notice
HYPOTHETICAL OR SIMULATED PERFORMANCE RESULTS HAVE CERTAIN LIMITATIONS. UNLIKE AN ACTUAL PERFORMANCE RECORD, SIMULATED RESULTS DO NOT REPRESENT ACTUAL TRADING. SINCE THE TRADES HAVE NOT BEEN EXECUTED, THE RESULTS MAY HAVE UNDERCOMPENSATED OR OVERCOMPENSATED FOR MARKET FACTORS SUCH AS LIQUIDITY. SIMULATED TRADING PROGRAMS ARE GENERALLY DESIGNED WITH THE BENEFIT OF HINDSIGHT. NO REPRESENTATION IS MADE THAT ANY ACCOUNT WILL OR IS LIKELY TO ACHIEVE PROFIT OR LOSS SIMILAR TO ANY RESULT SHOWN.
Unless expressly identified as an actual, reconciled brokerage fill, performance shown by MoonBot should be treated as simulated, hypothetical, replay-derived, or research-only. Actual results will differ.
5. No performance guarantee
A high historical win rate can still lose money. Profit factor, expectancy, drawdown, and other statistics can change. An observed edge may disappear because of market regime, cost, crowding, data quality, selection bias, or chance. Past performance is not necessarily indicative of future results. MoonBot does not promise a profit, win rate, funding result, or maximum drawdown.
6. Third-party and account risk
NinjaTrader, brokers, exchanges, market-data vendors, internet providers, model providers, operating systems, and hardware can fail or change. MoonBot does not control margin calls, liquidations, platform updates, exchange halts, data corrections, evaluation rules, or account closure. A proprietary trading firm may reject an account even if trades were profitable.
7. Start in simulation
Use simulation to learn the software and verify configuration before considering any brokerage account. Simulation cannot reproduce every live-market condition and does not prove profitability. Increase exposure only after independent review and only if you can afford the full loss.
